I fell in to a burning ring of fire!

Midsummer's Eve. A sacred day. This year we had our 5th Annual rites. They are based on the fantastic book 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith. It was different because Karyn was in China, and she was one of the founding members. But we had some fantastic girls there and the pagan rituals were a success!

Follow me.....

the fantastic cake. yum.

making garlands.

Sunset beauty shots.

What a bunch of flower children.

Our taper had 'china' on it. For Karyn.

trying to light the taper.

It blew out.

At last, SUCCESS!!!!

Burying a dead body?

Reading the sacred text.

Goodbye Provo!

So, I officially graudated. My last test in my last class at BYU: Beginning Irish Dance, took me 5 minutes to finish. I got a 4.0 my last term! (I only took 1 class, but a 4.0 at last!)

Friday, June 17th was my last day in Provo, and I went with some of my roomies to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days. There was a surprising lack of Strawberries, but there were carnies, and games, and rides, and shops, and a performance by the Grassroots Shakespeare Co. It turned out to be a lovely night. (ended with an *NSYNC dance party.)

Here are some photos!

The super cool Fries that NPR and the food network featured! yum!

I'm fairly certain that if you go inside this ride, you will be transported
through time and space to the year 2000.

Ninja Warrior for children. I would have been all over this 15 years ago.

This carnie was fantastic. He struck this pose then yelled at me 'Take my picture!" So great.

Battle Royale. Foam bow's and arrows. much more fun than the crowns they had for girls.

This amazing man, just chilling, gotta love Veterans!

Patriotic dog.

Carnivals!

Face painting is not only for toddlers. Pretty cool.

Shakespeare?!? Ok!

Grassroots Shakespeare Co. Summer tour 2011

One of my great loves is Shakespeare. And one of my favorite companies who perform Shakespeare is the Grassroots Shakespeare Co. They do great workshops throughout the year, and in the early summer, they tour in parks throughout Utah. (Mostly Utah County where they are based). Last year they did Romeo and Juliet. This year, they performed 'As You Like It', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (all male cast) and re-staged 'Romeo and Juliet'. I went a few times to each, and they were fantastic. Here are some photos from the shows. Also: See the reviews I wrote here!
